The position will work in a team environment creating high resolution orthophotos and mosaic images. Responsibilities will include image processing and data analysis, orthorectification of satellite images and editing supporting DEM data
Qualified candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Geography, Geospatial Science, or related field (or equivalent experience), strong organizational and analytical skills, excellent stereoscopic vision, and close attention to detail. Working knowledge of geographic coordinate systems and projections preferred. Experience with the following software is a plus: ITT Visual Information Solutions ENVI, Adobe Photoshop, BAE Socet Set, ESRI ArcInfo, ESRI ArcMap, and ERDAS Imagine. In addition to the minimum qualifications listed above, the following conditions apply:
- Candidates for the GIS Analyst II positions must have a minimum of 2 years of related experience in addition to a Bachelor’s Degree.
- Candidates for the GIS Analyst III positions must have a minimum of 3-5 years of related experience in addition to a Bachelor’s Degree.
Equivalent years of directly related experience may substitute for educational requirements.
A Secret U.S. Government security clearance is preferred. Candidates without a clearance must be able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance.

Responsibilities will also include finishing remotely-sensed & other source data, producing/maintaining cartographic databases, updating cartographic data from intelligence databases, and producing mission-specific data sets.
Qualified candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Geography, Geospatial Science, or related field (or equivalent experience), strong organizational and analytical skills, excellent stereoscopic vision, and close attention to detail. GIS, imagery analysis, and/or intelligence background preferred. Experience with the following software is a plus: BAE Socet Set, ESRI ArcInfo, ESRI ArcMap, ArcSDE, PLTS, and ERDAS Imagine. Knowledge Geodatabases, Terrain Analysis and Imagery Interpretation, and Aeronautical Charting experience is desirable.

3001 currently has two openings in our Gainesville office – a mid-level GIS Programmer Analyst and an entry-level GIS Programmer Analyst. The individuals in these positions will be responsible for creating custom desktop, web, and mobile GIS solutions. Duties will include application development, QA/QC, database development, GIS analysis, geodatabase implementation and configuration, data preparation, mapping, and additional related tasks. Travel may be required for onsite support, design and specification meetings.
Applicants will possess a Bachelor's Degree in Geography, Computer Science, or a related field. They must have some previous experience in scripting or application development. A working knowledge of one or more of the following is desired: VB, .Net (VB or C#), Java, HTML, ASP, Javascript, XML, ArcIMS, ArcSDE, ArcGIS, SQL, SQL Mobile, Oracle, UML, ArcPad Application Builder.
