Leica Geosystems ALS50-II LiDAR System
The Leica ALS50-II is a compact, airborne LiDAR system designed to acquire topographical and return signal intensity data from numerous airborne platforms. The system computes this data using laser range and return signal intensity measurements which are recorded in-flight, along with position and attitude data taken from airborne GPS and inertial subsystems.
Leica ALS50-II is the second generation of the Leica ALS50 and features other notable improvements, including:
- Expanded flying height envelope (200m – 6000 m AGL)
- Faster scan rates to 90 Hz
- Simplified operation
- Improved reliability
- Allows data capture at pulse rates up to 150kHz, while offering improved accuracy.
- Provides tightest possible planimetric spacing while achieving accuracy of 11cm (including GPS errors) at all pulse rates.
- The only compact LiDAR system on the market that offers this combination of pulse rate and accuracy.
Optech ALTM Gemini Topographic LiDAR Sensor
The Gemini is the most recent addition to the 3001 Topographic LiDAR sensor family, complimenting the Airborne Laser Terrain Mapper (ALTM) 3100EA (Enhanced Accuracy). While maintaining the full performance characteristics of the ALTM 3100EA, the ALTM Gemini offers higher altitude operation at peak repetition rates. Now a user can operate 100 kHz laser rep rates at altitudes up to 2 km. This greatly improves the survey efficiency of the ALTM by more than doubling the area coverage rate. The ALTM Gemini retains all of the performance characteristics of the ALTM 3100EA. In comparison with other commercially available LiDAR systems, this unit offers a 62% increase in data coverage and effective collection rate.
3001 has also acquired DASHMap processing software, the next generation in LiDAR data processing solution, with accelerated data acquisition-to-processing ratio. DASHMap supports the ALTM Gemini’s new laser speeds and enables owners to maximize both flight operations and post-processing.
Optech ALTM 3100EA Topographic LiDAR Sensor
The ALTM 3100EA (Enhanced Accuracy) provides 3001 with one of the most advanced airborne laser scanning systems commercially available. The ALTM 3100EA features include a shot-to-shot elevation accuracy of better than 5 cm, pulse repetition rates as high as 100 kHz, multiple digital imaging applications, platform independent operation, and adjustable scan angle, scan frequency, and pulse repetition frequency.
- High-resolution, high-accuracy, digital elevation data
- Day and night operation
- Independently geo-referenced intensity and elevation data
- Finds ranges from trees to the ground beneath in a single pass: Simultaneous first- and last-pulse capability
- Rapid coverage and data output: 1000 square kilometers in less than 12 hours, with DEM data available within 24 hours
- Range measurements independent of target composition: Bright targets, such as sand or snow, return the same range as dark targets, such as asphalt.
DMC
Z/I Imaging® DMC® (Digital Mapping Camera) is the industry's most innovative and precise turnkey digital camera system. The DMC supports aerial photogrammetric missions for the broadest range of mapping, geographic information systems (GIS), and remote sensing applications.
- Delivers small-scale or large-scale images with high-quality resolution - images with ground resolutions of less than 5 centimeters (2 inches).
- Ensures high geometric and radiometric resolution - direct production of a wide range of mapping and image analysis deliverables, including orthophotos, Digital Terrain Models (DTMs), and more.
- Captures data for small and large-scale mapping and engineering applications, including agriculture, cadastral mapping, cartography, forestry, land use/land cover mapping, environmental studies, natural hazard assessment, flood risk management, transportation engineering, urban planning, civil engineering, oil and gas exploration, and geology.

Film Systems
Leica RC30 Film Camera
The RC30 is a frame-based film camera system capable of acquiring photographs with black and white, color, and false color aerial film. It has two interchangeable lenses, negligible distortion, and reach lens/film resolutions more than 100 lp/mm. The aperture can be set up to f/4, with shutter speeds ranging from 1/100 to 1/1,000 second for maximum applicability.
The RC30 is often combined with the PAV30 Gyro-stabilized Camera Mount and the Leica Aerial Survey Control Tool (ASCOT) for a complete aerial survey system.
- High quality lenses offer the highest resolution
- Outstanding long-term stability
- Forward motion compensation (FMC) at low light and altitude levels
- Gyro-stabilized mount available (PAV30)
- Automatic exposure meter
- Communication with ASCOT and other systems
- Data annotation on each photograph
